Timo Mayer
Timo Mayer left Germany years ago for the Yarra Valley, where he farms his own 2.5 hectare plot and also works as head winemaker at renowned producer Gembrook Hill.
All his wines come from his Bloody Hill vineyard, named for its incredible steepness (making it bloody difficult to work).
Timo’s style promotes elegance and purity over muscle and showiness, and his are some of Australia’s best Pinot Noirs.
He likes to refer to himself as “just a farmer”, but to us he’s pretty legendary, and those who have met him agree.
Quantities are minuscule and the wines are stunning, so grab these while you can!
