Wine offers up rich fruit with layers of mint and earth adding complexity on the powerful mid-palate that leads to a long, fine finish. Golden Hill is a 2-acre vineyard block planted at Mayacamas by Robert Travers in 1989. Grown in fractured volcanic soils. Aged for 32 months in neutral oak, 20 months in 600-gallon foudre and 12 months in barrique with additional bottle age for 12 months.
