The 2019 DB4 checks in as a Cabernet-dominated blend that includes 10% Petit Verdot and 3% each of Merlot and Cabernet Franc brought up mix of new (70%) and used barrels. The entry level wine from the estate, its deep ruby hue is followed by a spicy, medium to full-bodied, rich, rounded, sexy mountain Cabernet with wonderful red and black fruits, lots of tobacco and cedar pencil-like aromatics, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a wonderfully complete, balanced, sexy wine to enjoy over the coming 10-15 years. - 92 Jeb Dunnuck
