A wine that certainly didn't suffer from the cooler weather (which is shocking given Mourvedre affinity for warmth), the 2011 Forsythe (Mourvedre) is a blend of 40% Mourvedre, 30% Syrah and 30% Grenache. Blueberry, blackberry, ground herbs, graphite, cured meats and violets all emerge from this full-bodied, concentrated, layered and fresh 2011. While already complex, it will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age.
