BACKGROUND:
After first vintage of the limited edition PicPoul - where the amphora cracked and 150 gallons spilled out on the ground - I got rather sad I only had 25 cases of it that I managed to salvage. Loving the expression of the wine it made, I decided to make it a regular cuveé from 2021 and onwards. This vintage, it moved to the new BIOGRAF-series where we focus on Rhône varieties.
STYLE:
Grassy nose, with primary fruits, playful aromas that hint towards the tropics and a little softer this year with less acid, but also a little lighter and less oxidative. This is a great sipping white with its round, Mediterranean style.
Not filtered or cold stabilized, so expect some slight sediment in bottom.
VINEYARD:
Shergill Vineyard lies in the western part of Mokelumne River AVA on sandy soils.
