BACKGROUND:
This is my recurring limited edition series - only 600 bottles made this time. It’s an opportunity for me to experiment with a new variety or style each year.
STYLE:
I’ve made a red MISSION since the inception of this winery, but was always curious about doing a Rosé from same grape. I thought its strawberry fruit profile and herbal notes would be really interesting in that form. And because the red version does so well chilled, it played right into that conviction. I’m very happy with this wine and I hope you’ll enjoy its herbal and fruity nature in this limited series.
VINEYARD:
Somers is a sandy loam vineyard in the Mokelumne River AVA in Lodi.
